Down from His Glory

Ever living story,

My God and Savior came,

And Jesus was His Name.

Born in a manger,

To His own a stranger,

A Man of sorrows, tears and agony.

Chorus

2 What condescension,

3. Without reluctance, Written by Susan Hawthorne

How great is our God? How wonderful is His creation? Why did He forsake all the glory and wealth of His Father, and come down to save such an unworthy person as I? I don’t love Him enough. I don’t thank and praise Him enough. God was so gracious and loved us so much that He sent us His Son, as a babe to this earth.

And now we can know that Jesus is the Great I AM. This song gives me the goosebumps every time I sing it. He is worthy of all our love and adoration. Let’s make sure we are a living story of Christ and His love for us! He wants us to return our love to Him by obeying Him, serving others and living a life that is pleasing in His sight. Help me Lord, to be all you want me to be.

O how I love Him, and how I adore Him.

(Pictures by Ezra Morley)

O how I love Him! How I adore Him!

My breath, my sunshine, my all in all.

The great Creator became my Savior,

And all God’s fullness dwelleth in Him.

Bringing us redemption;

That in the dead of night,

Not one faint hope in sight,

God, gracious, tender,

Laid aside His splendor,

Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul

Flesh and blood His substance,

He took the form of man,

Revealed the hidden plan,

O glorious myst’ry

Sacrifice of Calv’ry,

And now I know Thou art the great ‘I Am’
