Verse 1:
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Chorus:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Verse 2:
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
Verse 3:
And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Verse 4:
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then shall I bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art!”

This song gives me goosebumps when I hear it sung or join in singing it. If we just look at the words there is so much beauty and truth in them. When we just sit and think about the wonderful creation God has made it should fill us with joy and gratitude. Does it fill you with wonder at how He made all of the beauty? His power is manifest throughout the whole world. Every where we look God’s hand has been there. And when we walk through the woods, and hear the brook babbling and the birds singing it gives joy. Then we come to the more important part. And when I think that God sent His Son. He didn’t spare His feelings but sent Him anyway because He loved us so much. He bleed and died to take away our sin.
Then Christ shall come… with shouts of acclamation and will take us home to live with Him. What joy that will be. And then we will bow before our Lord, with humble adoration and with our eyes fixed on His face say, “How Great Thou Art”!
What more can we ask? I hope you enjoy the beautiful pictures, and think on the beautiful words of this hymn today. I pray it can be an encouragement and blessing to you. Oh, and listen to the Vocal Majority sing it. They really gave it justice. The harmony is very beautiful. God Bless!

Dear Amaris,
We have not written comments on your blog before, but wanted you to know that we do enjoy them. Thankyou for reminding us of the really important things. We also want you to know that we bring your name to the Lord in our prayers every day. Now we pray that the treatments you will be starting next week will be God’s solution for your problem. God bless you abundantly! Much love, Uncle Dave and Aunt Faith
