Savior, more than life to me,
I am clinging, clinging, close to Thee;
Let Thy precious blood applied,
Keep me ever, ever near Thy side.
Refrain:
Every day, every hour,
Let me feel Thy cleansing powโr;
May Thy tender love to me
Bind me closer, closer, Lord to Thee.
Through this changing world below,
Lead me gently, gently as I go;
Trusting Thee, I cannot stray,
I can never, never lose my way.
Let me love Thee more and more,
Till this fleeting, fleeting life is oโer;
Till my soul is lost in love,
In a brighter, brighter world above.

This was one of the many hymns which Grandpa quoted, and asked to have quoted to him, many times during his last days. What a comfort and promise!
That’s a beautiful hymn. Thank you for sharing it, Amaris! <3
DEAR AMARIS, I love this hymn and the memories of singing it with your grandfather almost every night as he was getting ready to go to sleep. I still sing it often with Faith before we turn the lights off. We love you very much and pray for you daily. May you โEvery day and every hour, feel His cleansing, healing powerโ!
