I don’t even know how to begin this blog post. So many memories and thoughts come rushing in when I think of my cousin and best friend Candace. As I think of the past 24 years of my life it makes me even more grateful for the years we have spent together. And to think that I hardly knew her until we came back from the mission field in 2011 and settled here in the States. We have gone through many things together. Laughed, cried, spent many hours talking, sharing secrets, traveled and loved together. She has stood by me through thick and thin and I am so grateful for the love that we have for each other. It’s been hard sometimes I must admit. We don’t always agree with each other…. but in the end there is a strong bond that is very firm.
Our trips together to Africa are some of my fondest memories of traveling with Candace. I was with her the first time she ever took an overseas trip in an airplane. It was so special to share that moment with her. We love to wear matching clothes.
Riding horses on African soil. Another first for my dear cousin and I got to be the one to enjoy her company!
Traveling down to WV for Rosalie’s bridal shower. So many sweet memories shared with Candace.
We were in charge of decorations for the bridal shower. Candace is extremely talented with crafts and decor. So it looked wonderful.:)
Working together at Jed’s wedding. Candace, I can’t wait for the day that I am well again and someday can help you prepare for your wedding. And to be able to do projects and go on trips with you again. That will be a very joyful day for me.
Best friends. You can’t get sweeter girls than these two young ladies.
My dear Candace. I hope we can make many more memories together. Besides my sister you are my closest friend. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for both of us. We were born 5 months apart. And we both turn 24 this year. God is so good.
Candace picked this material out in Africa on her last trip. I love it!
Thank you for joining me down memory lane. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I loved reliving the memories.
This is so precious!
